Kilo Dulworth was a seven year old Belgian Malinois. Kilo was born in Germany and had two other handlers in Indiana before finding his home with Officer Marty Dulworth. Kilo was a strong and spirited boy. He was commonly referred to as a "knucklehead" due to his outgoing attitude and hundred mile an hour drive. Kilo was a hard working dog who loved getting both drugs and criminals off the streets. In September 2011, Kilo was part of a K-9 team who won 1st place overall in the K-9 Olympics in Peru, Indiana for Dual Purpose Police K-9s. However, while at home with his family, Kilo was nothing more than a sweet, loving and faithful friend and family member. Kilo's bond with his K-9 handler, Officer Marty Dulworth, was like no other. Even to the very end, Kilo remained completely dedicated to serving and protecting Officer Dulworth. Kilo died on July 26, 2012, while doing the only thing Kilo knew to do, working on the front line of battle as a police K-9. Due to Kilo's valiant and heroic act, Kilo will live on forever. A combined memorial service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM, for both Kilo and Magnum at East Side Church of God; 2600 East 5th Street; Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Police Department K-9 Fund; 1040 Main Street; Anderson, IN 46016. www.LooseCares.com
